My Farmer and Me–Congrats to Phil and Ms Kay!!!

baby peas

Phil watches Ms Kay and the new babies.

We knew  she had hatched a couple days ago, but Ms Kay brought her little ones out for the first time this morning. They are learning how to peck and scratch for food and I am giving them bread in warm milk also. Their Mom is always ‘talking’ to them and showing them how to be peacocks. Phil is just watching on the sidelines because Ms Kay can get nasty to him if he gets too close. Something to watch!! I will put more pix up from time to time and you can all watch their transformation into gorgeous birds!

  2. Ed, this is in response to your video interview on Maria’s blog. . . you asked for ideas on the u-shaped pieces of metal and what they could be. They are absolutely perfect for trellises. You could weld “junk art” shapes (even the bicycle wheels you mentioned) inside the inverted us, put some points on the bottom of the inverted you, and you would make some clematis (or other climber) very happy, and add a lot of whimsy to a garden! Wish I lived closer and could buy one. I need to learn to weld!

  3. JO-ANN ALWAYS WANTED A PEACOCK , BUT COULD NEVER FIND ONE AT WHAT WE CONSIDERED A GOOD PRICE. WE HAD A GOOD CAGE THAT WOULD WORK WELL FOR THE BIRDS HOME.THE TIME PASSED ON WITHOUT FINDING ONE WITH A GOOD PRICE. — THEN TIME PASSED ON AND THERE WAS NO LONGER AN NEED TO GET A PEACOCK. —— NOW I LOOK BACK AND REALIZE WE SAVED A LITTLE MONEY, BUT AT THE EXPENSE OF A LITTLE HAPPINESS.——- THIS ” BEJOSH POST REMINDS ME OF THAT TIME IN MY LIFE.
