Look Close…See all 7 members of the goose family, revisiting. Didn’t cooperate for 1 photo; can see just neck and up…
The article read “PFOAs in Well Water in some areas of White Creek… If this issue is as bad as we are being told, WHY not the EPA just start collecting and testing all water sources? This stuff has been found in many towns in the area, along with sojme in nearby Vermont! PFOAs and the lead in Flint, Michigan; chemicals like these in our drinking water are a crisis and should be treated as such. Those at fault should near the cost, and time is of the essence!
Another local issue is noise, which conjures up memories of the burning barrel ordinance. Ever notice all those burn pits; are they next? No more sittin’ around the fire with a beer…There was the big hub-bub over cars, junk and otherwise. What’s next, the grass on my lawn is over 2 inches or my paint faded or is the wrong color?!
I past years a good respectful conversation went a long way. Besides, are there not bigger problems? Do we as a town need to enhance discrimination by singling out the hamlet? How long before that is an issue or the Austin farm in town has to get some sort of exemption or an issue with right to farm law and location arises?
Think of all those tools you want to have in your toolbox as a can of wormsl sooner or later some will slither out… More doesn’t always mean better!
The Crik’s been through Jermain Hall parties, the Ridge Rider’s, Halloween antics with or without consent from all, snowmobile craze, the ball field in early years and pony pulls at the end of Ridge Rider’s. Many other fads cam and went and when the dust settled the Crik was still the Crik….
Let’s all take a deep breath and exhale slowly, then figure out how to lower taxes or get a store of Stewarts’s shop in town, then maybe turn the old fire house into a museum about Crik historical phases…something useful!!!
Lastly, I would like to thank the law enforcement officers who cleaned up the bad guy mess just up the road in Vermont! Let’s hope the courts do their job as well as you did yours! Thank you!!!
