As most of you know, Ed is helping our son Jeremy get his corn harvested, and today while finishing up a field, they came across an area where they presume a small bear had decided to help itself to the corn. It had pulled the stalks down while sitting in the center and just turning and grabbing them. It had also done the same thing further on down these rows in a couple of different places. Just couldn’t sit still?!
Perhaps they will find more bear damage when they snap our remaining corn after Jeremy’s is finished. This has been a great year for out corn crop; grew tall, multiple cobs per stalk and plenty of it. Mother Nature favored us this year with just enough rain here and there to grow corn aplenty, with the help of some very warm days, also.
