My Farmer and Me–Sadie eats her peanut butter…

(Actually got a notice that this video is banned from viewing in some  countries because of the music playing on the radio in the background; copyright rules? Didn’t even realize it was playing!!)

Since we haven’t had the chance to write anything new these past few days, I thought perhaps Sadie could entertain you. I videoed this on New Year’s day as we were finishing up the milking and she forced her way into the parlor with the last of the milk cows. Ed gave her the peanut butter, which she hasn’t really wanted for a few days. Always fun to watch…

In a side note, once again we had a get-together on that day also; however we were minus a few people this year. Our daughter, Maggie, had surgery the day before and her kids really wanted to spend some time with their mom at home while she was recouping. She is okay, just sore from the surgery (removed the gall bladder which was not functioning at all).

Also our youngest, Jess, was unable to come due to prior commitment. However, Chad and Jeremy and their respective families came and we had great food and conversation. Got to spend time with 5 of my grand kids, of which Kaylah shared some her first semester at college experiences. Every one is busy, busy and we hope to get together again before long, after Maggie is feeling better.

Our good friends, Maria and Jon also joined the fun for a bit. Always look forward to time spent with them.

Lastly, as we look forward to a round of the four seasons in 2017, I wish my family and friends health, happiness and prosperity; good spring for planting, good summer for hay and that heat that makes the corn grow knee high by the 4th of July, and good fall for a great harvest… ( and Sadie peanut butter, crackers and Fig Newtons…)

  2. Carol and Ed – wishing you and your family all the best for 2017. I love your blog. It is entertaining, informative, and truly inspirational. Don’t know how you find time – but hope you will keep them coming. Here’s to Peace around the globe – and an increase in milk prices for you hard-working dairy farmers. Hugs, Ginny Ford
